at EuroTek.08. Influenced at an early age by the space landings, Teresa Telus developed a love of flight and technology and a passion for exploration. After flying gliders for 10 years she and her partner Kevin Pickering started diving and found there were a few like-minded divers around the world from joining the American “tech-diver” forums and reading Aquacorps magazine.

Diving RMS Lusitania in 2000 on the AP Valves Inspiration rebreather and then going back to video survey the shipwreck the following year.

She has dived numerous virgin shipwrecks in the English Channel and has raised two ships bells to her name, to the envy of many shipwreck explorers.

As part of Carl Spencer’s HMHS Britannic expedition in 2003 to understand and prove why Britannic sank faster than her sister ship Titanic, Teresa pulled longer bottom times at depth, with the associated decompression penalties, than all her male counterparts; consolidating her reputation for doing the diving and not just talking a good dive and being one of the worlds top technical female divers.
Teresa Telus diving in Truk Lagoon Technical dives she has been on include some of the world’s most famous shipwrecks: RMS Lusitania, HMHS Britannic, HMS Russell, HMS Vandal, Flying Enterprise and the gold ship SS Egypt.
Throughout her career she has worked with her partner Kevin Pickering to bring back top quality film of the all historic shipwrecks they dive, forming an archive for generations to come. By choreographing their dives and using various techniques developed over time, their footage has been used by several TV companies, including Tg4, National Geographic and Discovery Channels.

Between dives Teresa and Kevin now spend much of their time editing film in Hi-Def at their studio in the South East of England, some of which can be seen on their web site: www.shipwreckfilms.co.uk

At EuroTek.08 Teresa Telus will be presenting on a recent trip to the awesome Truk Lagoon where she specifically traveled to explore many of the deeper less dived wreck sites. Her presentation will use Photography from Leigh Bishop & High Definition footage by her partner Kevin Pickering. More information >>
