Gala Dinner Prize win
Attend the big prize draw at the EuroTek Tek divers Gala Dinner and
you could win this quality cell checker worth £528 courtesy
of the team at Narked @ 90™!
Oxygen
Cell checker™ for CCR divers Cell Linearity and Current Limiting Checker.
From Narked at 90™ Ltd the company
that caters for Technical and advanced divers www.narkedat90.co.uk
Like an oxygen analyzer is an important took for technical
divers the’ Cell Checker™’ from Narked @ 90™
is a tool that every rebreather diver should have for checking
their cells. Diving with oxygen cells in your rebreather that
are not healthy or have past their expiry date can of course
lead to a serious in water incident possibly a fatality. Therefore
it is important to check the current limitations and none linearity
of galvanic oxygen cells to minimize the problems encountered
on dives with current limited cells.
With the Narked at 90 ‘Cell Checker™’
you can check your cells for current limiting before you actually
get in the water. You can of course check your cells manually
by doing an Oxygen flush at 6m depth and watching the cells
are linear and not current limited.
Doing this after a dive or whilst doing deco is too late and
can also be tricky at the beginning of a dive if the current
is flowing or you're pressured into a fast descent because of
tidal limitations. In comparison to using the ‘Cell Checker™’
this method can be inaccurate and will not tell you if your
cells are capable of maintaining their output over a period
of time without dropping off. Diving at a set point greater
that 1.0 bar will put you at risk of Hyperoxia unless you can
verify the cells integrity.
Narked at 90™ who developed this award winning safety
tool firmly believe it will save lives or at the very least
save your dives or dive trips. Nothing is worse than arriving
at a remote diving location to encounter a cell failure on your
first decent.
The Cell Checker™ will accept most of the
diving cells available on the market today with and there are
three types of fitting heads available.
The Cell Checker™ shows you true millivolt readings from
the cells so will not need to be calibrated as a PPO2 readout
will need to be, making the unit very easy to use.
The checker comes with a quick start guide and lookup tables
in the lid of the unit and very comprehensive lookup tables
in the manual that covers supply gas percentages from 91% up
to 100%. There is also a cell output plotting graph for you
to input your readings to so you can see a graphic of the cells
output, this is very helpful in determining a limiting curve.
