He has organised conferences himself that many EuroTek delegates may well have been to. He was the first technical diving instructor outside of the United States and is someone who at some stage has, at one time or another taught many a course in technical diving to people reading this.

Kevin is the designer of the Ouroboros and sentinel closed circuit rebreathers as well as the popular VR3 mixed gas dive computers which are worn by most technical divers today. Kevin has led milestone expeditions written extensively on the subject of Tek diving and lectured at many dive shows and conferences around the world.

His book (see below) {Technical Diving From The bottom Up}is the most comprehensive guide to technical and advanced diving ever published.
Kevin is a person who excels as a marine engineer and has helped to design several pieces of equipment we now consider as standard in technical diving. His involvement with early rebreather systems led to producing the worlds first mixed gas dive computer, the VR3.

"Technical Diving From The bottom Up" is a guide written by Kevin Gurr to both 'would be' and experienced technical divers. Covering a range of topics, it is designed to guide the reader through the basics such as physiology and equipment configuration, before moving onto deep mixed gas decompression diving and the use of rebreathers. more information >>
