We are taking a few days 'well earned rest' after the months
of hard work that we have put into making EuroTek.08 a success
that it was.
Hopefully this week sometime we will get all the photos on the
site and all the feedback and what went on for those that could
not make the show to read about. We will also post all the information
about all the winners of the EuroTek.08 awards that were received
at the Gala awards evening as well as the winner of the Big

Report
on EuroTek.08
The organsiers of Eurotek.08 would like to invite anyone
who went to EuroTek to submit a report on what they thought
of the conference for the website. All three of the organisers
Carl Spencer, Leigh Bishop & Roz Lunn had a fair bit on
their plates ensuring that all was running smoothly so obviously
missed some/most of the talks. We welcome your angle or take
on the conference.

Statement from Rick Stanton
Many thanks to Leigh, Carl & Roz for organising such a great
conference. A chance to meet with plenty of old farts from the
original IANTD events staged in Coventry plus loads of new faces
which is an encouraging sign for tech diving. Knowing of Leigh
Bishop’s long running desire to set up a Tek conference
here in Europe & also having been to Oztek which was to
be the benchmark for Eurotek I can attest that the team, at
their first attempt, pulled it off to a fine degree so praises
due. On a more personal note I have to say that I was totally
blown away & genuinely surprised (speechless even) at wining
the diver of the conference. Especially so considering that
cave divers were in a minority of those present. The Doxa
watch is something I will be proud to wear &
associate with this award so many thanks to all those who nominated
me. Rick

Lucky
Delegate wins Ambient Pressure Rebreather
Your conference pass automatically entered you into the draw
to win an Ambient Pressure Diving Rebreather. The lucky delegate
who won this great prize was actually an open circuit diver
with an interest in getting into rebreather diving. He told
the EuroTek team that he has never won anything in his life
quite like this and is somewhat taken back but none the less
very happy indeed.
