Once again we were
overwhelmed with emails and forum postings from delegates, speakers
and exhibitors from all over the world about the EuroTek
2010 event. Some of the hundreds of emails and
letters we have received have been cut & pasted below. Thanks
to everyone one for supporting us and making this event another
great success. The EuroTek team
Here's what Speakers, Delegates and Exhibitors had to
say about the EuroTek.2008 European Tek Diving Show
I would second everyone’s enthusiasm
for Eurotek 2010. I feel it was one of
the best, if not the best show of this nature to be presented.
I enjoyed the chance to see old friends, make new friends,
and have a great
learning experience all at the same time.
We already plan to attend Eurotek 2012
Respectfully,
Tom Mount

To all those who painstakingly
organised this exceptional event.
Please accept my sincere thanks for providing the best diving
event, that has not been underwater, I have ever attended. It
was a true pleasure to discuss, in detail, with the worlds leading
experts in their chosen fields, so many of the topics and issues
that would be certainly impossible at any other location. This
must have been the single highest concentration of the worlds
leading divers, technical experts and enthusiasts anywhere in
the world.
This has re-fired my enthusiasm for our sport and inspired me
to further progress in the scope and quality of my diving. I
can't wait until 2012, but will have to content myself with
diving until then.
Sincere regards,
Tony Howard
The best show we've been to yet. So good we might have to
do a presentation ourselves. Watch this space!

Fantastic Conference. Well done guys, well organised and
a notably busier Eurotek than 2008. Carry on like that and
you'll need a bigger venue. Just promise you won't let it
get too big. The individuality is what keeps it such a special
event!
NEIL McALLION
Just wanted to say well done! EuroTek was fabulous fun and
I had a blast. It was lovely to meet everyone. Good job on
the organization front!!
Best,

I would also like to thank all of the organizers, back room
staff and exhibitors of Eurotek 2010. I was with out exception
the best dive show I have attended.
Simon Mitchell & Martin Parkers talks were the highlight
of the talks I went to. Leigh Bishop's frank and honest presentation
of the Ill-fated Britannic trip was outstanding. Thanks Leigh
and RIP Carl Spencer.
So nice to meet up with fellow YDers, some of who are old
friends and now many more new ones.
Guys, any chance I can order some tickets for Eurotek 2012
Paul Farley
Congratulations
Well done on a great Eurotek! This really is a fantastic event
for divers to see what is happening on the cutting edge of exploratory
diving. An extremely well organised two days.

WE\e would start saying that Eurotek 2010 was a huge success.
An excellent work on your part and the whole team.
We want to thanks once again the invitation that you did
to us. We barely speak in the Eurotek, but I hope, we have
met yours expectations.
For us was a fantastic experience, and we hope that in future
we shall continue to participate/help in your projects.

Eurotek 2010 - What a great weekend!
Many congratulations to Leigh, Roz, Crispin and Mark for
organising such a successful event. Ordinary divers with the
help of some good mates organised an extraordinary event.
It was a real pleasure to meet many of you, particularly the
Dutch and South Africans, thanks for your great company.
Thanks to everyone that attended my presentation, rather
relieved that one or two turned up. For those that didn't
attend: This event was huge, maybe 500 attendees.
At any one time there were 4 talks on, shipwrecks, cave diving,
3D video, ice diving, rebreather development, decompression,
physiology, accident analysis, something for everyone. Speakers
came in from all over Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the
USA. Eurotek was/is the place to rejuvenate your enthusiasm
for diving.
After the success of this event I am sure Eurotek 2012 will
go ahead and if it does I implore you to book early. I have
booked the exhibition stand already.
Go for the whole weekend including the Saturday night's black
tie dinner and I guarantee you'll have a great weekend.
Kind regards,
Martin Parker

Hi Leigh, Roz and team,
After attending Eurotek10, I just felt I had to drop a few lines
to congratulate you on yet another great show. I do not intend
to compare the E08 and E10 shows, both were fantastic. The reason
for this is that the E10 show had the advantage of all that
was learned from the 08 show. The name ‘Eurotek’
alone I feel is very inclusive of our European buddies who also
contribute help, experience and advice massively to diving lists
and forums as well as stamping our continent as a leading entity
when it comes to technical diving.
Up to date now, I have only ever worn a Tuxedo twice, both times
at the Eurotek gala dinners. What a fantastic evening, where
you get to eat great food, while talking to unknown and well-known
divers, swapping advice and contact details. And of course the
presentations, prizes and excellent atmosphere make the evening
a definite ‘must attend’ for any divers diary.
Lex Warner
Hi, another excellent show,
exceeding expectations. Simon Mitchell's presentations were
once again humorous as well as informative.
Lisa shafe
Hello Eurotek Team,
I would like to congratulate you, because
the conference was very good and it was everything very professional.
Second, it has been also a pleasure to see my friends Armando
Ribeiro and José Marques like speakers.
Third, I can’t imagine the loss of a good friend, but
I can understand the meaning of that, so I also congratulate
you for your excellent presentation, given you my sincere
condolences for Carl Spencer.
Thank you and best regards,
Manuel Silveira
Congratulations for the organization, the work, the show and
the sympathy put in those two days. With experience on Shows
organization by myself I know what does it mean and I can
just say that you do far better than what I could ever do.
See you in 2012
Nadir
Just to take a very quick opportunity
to say thank you to yourself and Eurotek team. Fantastic conference,
offering an arsenal of in depth talks. Also created a great
platform for expeditions next year! Best

I attended the first EuroTeK
conference back in 2008. After this event I could not see
how you could make the weekend any better how wrong I was.
You really have set the standard now. First class and well
done to all the team.
Geoff Cox
My comments: What a great
Show. GUE were proud to be there and to support Eurotek 2010.
Roll on 2012.
John Kendall
Another ace show everyone.
As usual such a dense amount of quality presentations that I
couldn't make it to all of them, but that just leaves me hungry
for more. Not to sound condescending
but I thought Leigh made a tremendously courageous presentation
about Carl and Britannic 2009, and I felt privileged to have
attended it.
As expected Simon Mitchell presented on the
hottest physiology topics with his usual humorous flair and
effective conveyance of important information.
As well as the kit and knowledge experiences
to be had, there were plenty of inspirational multi-media
presentations, on ice, cave, mine and wreck diving. I will
feed off those for at least the next 2 years.
Great kit, great knowledge, great people,
great inspiration. Everything a diving conference should be.
Roll on Eurotek 2012.
Sebastian Chander
Well done to Leigh, Roz,
Mark and Crispin. It was an excellent conference. Thank you
for your hard efforts in arranging it. I look forward to 2012.
My only disappointment was not getting in
to see the Truk HD video as the ICC stewards got very 'health
and safety' conscious on the 2nd day.
Also, there were so many excellent talks it was sometimes
difficult to choose.
I particularly enjoyed Dr. Simon Mitchell's
presentations. So much information to absorb in a short space
of time.
Best regards,
Patrick Dowling
Couldn't attend due to being in Australia, but thoroughly
enjoyed the podcasts. The more podcasts, videos, transcripts
etc the better. Cheers:

I would like to commend all
of the Eurotek team on an outstanding event.
At all times the balance was kept between light-heartedness
and supreme professionalism (at least on the outside!!!). Leigh,
you are an outstandingly brave man. I served in MCT troop, Royal
Marines for many years and your speech was one of the most courageous
things that I have ever witnessed. You are a true human being.
I went to 8 talks over the weekend and every one was extremely
interesting. The choice mix of available talks was also very
well balanced. I went to the 2008 conference, and I think this
one was even busier than the first one! Keep up the great work,
and see you all in 2012. Chris
hardy
I had an excellent time. I
thought the talks were brilliant especially Simon Mitchell on
Co2 (very enlightening). The only problem was that I wanted
to often go to one or more talks at the same time - which is
a good reflection on the quality of the speakers.
The gala dinner was fab as well - I will be back for 2012!!
Alastair Black
Thank you to the whole team
for an excellent event. My colleagues and I really enjoyed
the high quality of the presentations. There was definitely
something for every taste. Even better than Eurotek 2008.
Simon Mitchell was an absolute mine of useful information.
Looking forward to 2012 already.
Thanks again - Mark Lewis.
Phil Siswick
Hi, just wanted to say how impressed Mayte and I were with the
organisation and delivery of the 2010 event. A credit to you
all and we're really looking forward to 2012.
Well done! Cheers,
Phil
Nice one had an informative
weekend. Excellent line up. The only downside is that conflicts
of interest arise. Would it be possible to record seminars and
allow delegates to view at a later date. Could they be streamed
so that they cannot be downloaded. See you in 2012 all being
well and once again great effort!!!! Matt
Randall
hear the show went well. Congratulations!!!
Proud of you!!!! M2’s Tek Shows, then
OZTeK and now EuroTek!
Bloody hard work and I am sure you deserve
a real rest! Your hard work is fantastic and without your
dedication none of this would happen! Hope the other pommy
gits recognise this!!!!!!
Cheers…and best wishes for everything

Australia
Superb conference - First class
speakers, especially Prof Simon.
Thanks also for the presentation on the loss of Carl. A very
difficult presentation but hopefully all the audience will take
extra precautions when analyzing and marking bottles plus do
build-up dives, no matter how experienced a diver.
Dave Robbins HI
WE NOW GET ALL THESE MESAGES ABOUT EUROTEK
2010
I WAS THERE AND IT WASN´T JUST GREAT
HAS THEY SAY . THRUST ME FOR IT...
IT WASN´T GREAT, IT WAS REALLY SUPER
FANTASTIC. I HAD TO GET ON A PLANE, BOOK INTO A HOTEL, TRAVEL
LIKE SOME OTHERS DID.
WILL DO THAT ON EUROTEK 2012 AGAIN AND AGAIN
.
FOUND FRIENDS, MADE NEW CONTACTS, LEARNED
NEW THINGS , ALL VERY WELL
ORGANISED.
THOSE OF YOU THAT DIDN´T GO. YOU CAN´T
EVEN IMAGINE WHAT YOU HAVE LOST.
TO THE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE ORGANISED
EUROTEK .
I THINK IT IS UNANIMOUS FROM ALL THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN AT EUROTEK
2010 "THANK YOU"
I MUST AGREE IT WAS GREAT, GREAT WEEKEND

Thank you for an excellent
conference! The speakers were top
notch and there were interesting topics available the whole
time. The main problem was selecting which session to attend
when there were many extremely interesting ones at the same
time.
Again, great show and see you again in 2012!
Thank you,
Vilho Järvinen
What a quality show, full
of up to date information with speakers having the knowledge
to answer all questions on their chosen subject. A show full
of information for the advanced diver.
Well done to you all. David warren
Conference and speakers
were excellent - hard to pick which speaker to see - a lot
of the ones I wanted to see coincided with others.
Andrea Paterson
It was a great show and really
seemed to give the technical diving community in Europe an outlet
and forum which was badly needed. It was also great to meet
up and chat with everyone in the diving community away from
diving, which was a nice change. It was great to see so many
of the manufactures getting behind the Eurotek team, which helped
make it the success, it was....
Hats off to Leigh/Roz/Mark and the team for making this happen...
I really can’t wait for 2012!!
Chat soon,
Barry TAP
AIR PORTUGAL is producing a documentary to be shown on all their
flights showing procedures for boarding and disembarking in
Lisbon. As I was invited to participate as an actor, during
the footage I’ve wear the EUROTEK 2010 Hoodie. I think
I got a good promotion to EUROTEK that will be shown on board
of TAP AIR PORTUGAL flights.
Best Regards. Paulo Medo
Even better than Eurotek 08
What a fantastic weekend. I have learnt
a lot, and been re-briefed so to speak on things I know but
maybe have not always given enough thought to. At the same
time I have had an enjoyable and entertaining weekend amongst
a great group of people from all over the planet.
A massive amount of work must have gone into organising and
running this event, and in my opinion you did great.
So from me to all the organisers, speakers,
exhibitors, sponsors as well as all those working behind the
scenes, thank you for a dammed good weekend and I will be
back in 2012.
And to all of you that I met, cheers, and happy, safe diving.

John Nortcliffe
I note some adverse comments on the ICC security staff not letting
people into Dr Mitchells CO2 lecture when there were free seats.
I watched 2 different uniformed personnel carefully check and
move people into free seats. They did a good job within the
time constraints. Simon was just too popular!
Thanks for a really fantastic conference very
informative, well organised , its only a shame I have to wait
until 2012 for the next one at which I am going to bring a group
from my dive club. It really is so much more than the usual
dive shows. Thanks again and keep
uo the good work
Alex Charge
EuroTek 2008 was only surpassed
by this one, last weekend. It is a great way
to see what is happening in the world of deep diving - both
in terms of
equipment, a 'deep' understanding of the principles/physiology
involved and
a good look at the forefront of recent technical diving expeditions,
etc. I'm looking forward to 2012 already!
I know, I know, I'm biased, all right -
I won the Golden Snorkel award and it was deserved in many
ways perhaps to
cover my 23 years of cock-ups!

All positive, the exhibition
hall was nice, access was better then expected for setting up.
the area was good with lots for people to do. Delegates were
all in good spirits and keen. talks were good. very glad I came.
Defiantly will attend next time also
Kim Smith
Kiss rebreathers Canada The
show was absolutely fantastic on the Saturday, but can't comment
on Sunday. I can't fault the talks themselves at all. the show
was flawless, and was well worth the money. I look forward to
the next one.
James VERY GOOD SHOW,
AS GOOD AS 2008.
Leigh's talk alone was worth the price of the ticket. Just a
thought if you made the lunch break shorter you could get another
slot for another talk. keep up the good work. regards GLYN
HUGHES I'd
like to thank you for putting together this amazing Eurotek
2010 conference.
Well done guys !!!! The presentations / speakers were of outstanding
quality and the exhibitors well chosen.
I'll be there in 2012
Jaap Voets It
was a great weekend and I will be there again if you guys/girls
will organize Eurotek 2012. If I
am allowed to give a little bit of feedback, than it would
be that Eurotek is mainly a British diving conference. I'm
pointing here at the gala diner. I know the British diving
scene is so much better than the Dutch, but maybe it is possible
to give it a more European feeling.
And other thing... but that's a hard one..
you had so many good speakers, that it sometimes made a very
hard to choose which workshop to follow. Might be nice to
put in a few doubles (like the Baltic shipwreck one).
Regards,
Arjan Passenier
I would just like to say a
big thank you for Eurotek 2010. It was a great weekend and all
the "Irish Lads" had a great time. Looking
forward to 2012!!! Cheers,
Alan Price
Just a note to says thanks
for putting on such a good show. I know you and the team have
put so much work into the project and it showed. Well done and
please thank the others as well.

I attended the 2008 show and I think you've surpassed it. It
was excellent - its the only dive show I ever intend to go to
in future.
You have got a great thing going here and you should be proud.
I hope the books balance at the end of the day and am looking
forward to 2012 already. Best of luck
guys and well done again.
Regards, Stephen
Sent a message thanking you
for organising everything. The hotel was class, the talks were
absolutely fantastic. Simon Mitchell, Kevin Gurr, Leigh, Richie
Stephenson, I could go on and on. The whole event was very professional
and I cant wait for 2012.

Peter McCamley Great
show
Well done to Leigh/Roz/Mark and the lads for putting together
a great show... It was one of the best weekends I ever had!!
Roll on 2012...

Speaker 2010 Thank you
!!
Hi Team - A BIG BIG Thank You AGAIN for a great weekend !! I
had a fantastic weekend in 2008 and made sure not to miss the
conference in 2010 - it certainly is the best diving conference
I have ever been to - great speakers, great talks, a good website
and all well organised - thank you !! Looking forward to 2012
.. !!
Heike Weichert Thank
you to the team for a fantastic weekend. The talks were brilliant
and Simon Mitchell is an amazing speaker!Already looking forward
to 2012 - must remember to get more sleep next time though!
Thanks again!

Another cracking show you
all put on. Roz, Leigh, Crispin and Mark have done yourselves
proud.
Adrian Kelland
Hi guys, thanks for a successful
Eurotek 2010, such a great line-up of speakers, it made it difficult
to choose which ones to attend!
Stephen McElhone 1st
time attending and only on Sunday - will attend both days next
time
Excellent day, good mixture of talks both my wife and I enjoyed
- she was concerned they would be too technical for her, but
was proved wrong. Overall superb - job well done! Make it Annual!!
Not every 2 yrs!
Jez Davies Overall
an excellent weekend. All of the sessions I attended were, without
question, first-class presentations. The exhibition stands and
the range of companies/groups were excellent. Overall, fantastic
weekend and great value. Will definitely be back in 2012
Rob Forrest Conference
was excellent. You need to have a cut off time on the talks,
so that presenters do not spend 15 minutes trying to ignore
people strolling in. Just shut the doors and have someone say,
"sorry, it’s already started". If talks run
late people just have to leave before the end. That’s
what happens in business conferences.
Gareth Burrows Thanks
for a great Eurotek 2010.As usual we
had a fantastic time and enjoyed the talks, shows and meeting
the faces behind some of the names we have known for a long
time. I can't believe it's over and we are back at work - time
to plan the next trip. Best regards

The show was excellent; I now
wish that I could have attended both days. As someone interested
in deco theory having Bruce Wienke at the event was fantastic.
I could do both days just attending his talks! I liked the size
and location of the venue - certain presentations attracted
particularly large audiences but on the whole it seemed just
about right. However any increase in numbers would call for
a larger venue. On the whole an excellent
event and I will be attending next year.
Paul Duckworth
I was able to thank only
Roz, so I want to use this opportunity to thank also Leigh
and the other organiser of this conference. A wonderful experience!
Gilberto Bonaga
Leigh, Roz, Crispin and Mark;
Hello guys! You did it again. What a great weekend we had. Thank
you so much
for all the efforts and energy you put into this event. Not
many people in
this world know how much work it is to organise an event like
this. When
organisers from the other side of the world travel to Birmingham
to see how
the British organise an event like this that sure says something.
Thank you guys and especially I would like to thank Leigh for
his courage to tell about the way he lost his
friend. I was really impressed by the way he managed to present
his
feelings. Those who were with his presentation must have felt
the same. Thank you on behalf of all the people who walked in
wooden shoes! Jan Willem Bech, Caroline Kraaijveld, Wies Bech,
Jeroen Gompelman, Patricia

Dear Leigh , Rose & all
Team
Just wanted to say a BIG " THANK YOU" to you all for
this fantastic event. I have enjoyed so much it was really great.
The event & Gala Dinner was well organised. However in my
point of view, speaking for myself, taking in account the quality
of the speakers and the importance of the topic there where
a few that should have happened at another time, not simultaneously.
Thank you to you all for making this event possible.
Will be back and if you ever need any assistant/help on the
Portuguese part. PLEASE DON´T HESITATE. João Rosário
Once again THANK YOU, will be back next time.
Best Regards

brilliant weekend, absolutely top stuff. Hope you will do
it again!
