The EuroTek.2010 Diving Technologies Conference

The organisers' of the 2nd EuroTek would like to invite you once again to explore the future of diving at the ‘International Convention Centre’ for the EuroTek.2010 conference & exhibition. Building on the success of the 2008 conference (see feedback) the 2010 event will be dedicated again to the field of advanced and technical diving and aimed specifically for the advanced diving community.

EuroTek.2010 is run by divers for divers (see staff) and we intend to provide a bigger and better conference that will offer something for all advanced divers from across Europe & the world. Eurotek has been inspired by the established ‘Oztek’ conference, our sister 'Tek' conference in the southern hemisphere as well as the awesome Aquacorps conferences of the early 1990s. As organiser's of EuroTek.2010 we have attended many diving shows ourselves around the globe and believe we have found a not only a great quality venue for a show-down event of technical diving in Europe but a platform for advanced divers to learn from.
Oztek was, until EuroTek 2008, the only event to cater for advanced and technical diving and is held every other year in Sydney Australia. Throughout the 1990s technical diving guru and marine engineer Kevin Gurr hosted the IANTD conferences in the UK as technical diving grew in its early stages. It has been almost a decade since these last standalone conferences, many an expedition has been successful since and many companies have grown specializing in technical diving equipment. Kevin who organised these events will be on hand at EuroTek.2010 to talk Tek with you.

Hosting a full scale ‘Diving Technologies Conference’ is an ambitious and expensive undertaking, the main objective being to find a venue suitable with easy access from foreign destinations. We found a fabulous venue in the ICC, a venue that has room for expansion in future years should the 2010 conference become a as bigger a success as 2008 was.
We hope that you will be able to attend and help build with us an event for the future of a Diving Technologies here in Europe. We also understand that some of the most adventurous diving projects and innovations in advanced diving equipment are being developed here in Europe. The focus of this conference will be aimed at European diving and the education of emerging diving technologies to European divers.

Since the early 1990's diving has emerged through a technological revolution which has redefined the way in which we explore our underwater world. Cutting edge projects are constantly being pushed by Scandinavian divers as well as divers in Poland, the British Isles, Greece, Eastern Europe and many others. EuroTek.2010 will feature on some of the most intriguing underwater projects on the Planet to the cutting edge of diving technology and beyond. Come and hear about all the exciting advances in diving and expeditions that have happened since the last EuroTek show. EuroTek.2010 will take you where you want to go. This conference will host more technical sessions and forums that any other show in the Northern Hemisphere, just ask anyone who was at Eurotek 2008. Hands on clinics and demos will be conducted by some of the leading U/W visionaries and practitioners of our time. EuroTek.2010 will provide you will the tools information and contacts to take you’re diving to the next level.
Reading like the Who's Who of modern diving exploration our speaker line up will boast better than any that have gone before.

The conference will focus on underwater imaging, high definition imaging, digital imaging, rebreather technology (updates and advancements) and not forgetting recent expeditions that have used this technology. You will be able to investigate new ideas in hyperbaric research.
Ranging from applying statistical methods to problems of toxicity and decompression to investigating the use of hyperbaric treatments. Find out how these things may effect your diving applications and just how deep it may go. The Organisers of EuroTek.2010 are flying, AGAIN BY POPULAR DEMAND, all the way from New Zealand one of the worlds leading hyperbaric doctors and one of the leading speakers of the southern hemisphere, Dr Simon Mitchell. Believe us when we say there will be standing room only at these presentations that's what it will be if you don’t get down to the auditoriums early enough 9ask anyone who went in 2008! .

EuroTek.2010 will feature presentations on current wreck diving explorations that have been undertaken since the last event, as well as current high definitions advancements and digital photography. Speakers will elaborate their presentations with some of the most stunning shipwreck photography and film taken from depth you will ever see.
See presentations from serious divers who are currently exploring remote frontiers 1000’s of metres into cave systems. Listen to the manufactures of closed circuit technology and hear from the horses mouths as to the future of their upcoming technology.
So far at the EuroTek.2010 office (going on the high reputation of the 2008 event) we have had some offers of some very high end / influential presentations. All updates on speaker’s presentations and workshops will be constantly posted on this site between now and when the doors of EuroTek.2010 open on Oct 16th. With some of the potential speaker’s ideas that have already been proposed to us, there is a high chance we will run a booking system on a first come first served basis for specific workshops, clinics and presentations. Whatever you wish to see or hear at EuroTek.2010 this conference will offer an inspirational voyage of discovery into all of your diving's future possibilities. We hope that the future of this conference will become synonymous with excitement and adventure and that your attendance will make it all happen.

Because of fire safety regulations at the venue we will be limited to delegate numbers therefore tickets will no longer be sold when these numbers are reached. If you intend to visit the conference please be sure to purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment. As a result of the success of the last conference EuroTek has grown both in popularity and size with many people who doubted us and our ability to host such an event remarking on forums that they will certainly be at the next event from what they had heard. Be sure to book your ticket and not have disappointment.

Come and invent a piece of the future for your self, Dive into the Future with EuroTek.2010, all for less than a Trimix fill!
