Carl Spencer EuroTek co-founder
It is with Great sadness that the EuroTek organising team had to announce the loss of their co-founder team member Carl Spencer who was pronounced dead after a deep dive on Britannic on May 24th 2009.

Carl Spencer had been fortunate enough to dive on some of the coolest shipwrecks around world and been involved with several marquee projects and television productions.

Many of the projects had been some of the most groundbreaking and successful combined several technologies; Submersibles, ROV and manned SCUBA/Technical Diving.

Carl Spencer: Onboard Russian Deep Submersible MIR 2 in 2003 NOAA Expedition to the wreck of the RMS Titanic (3,784mtrs North Atlantic Ocean)
Carls diving projects & locations had been as diverse as the numbing temperatures of the Frozen Arctic through to the extreme depth of the wreck of the RMS Carpathia at +150mtr [+500’]. As a a member of many expeditions, Carl was at the time an ongoing participant in several ongoing medical trials and decompression modelling projects at Duke University NC and the Hyperbaric Faculty at the University of Split, Croatia. In addition to diving he was a helicopter pilot and enjoyed racing Dirt Bikes. Some of his noteworthy expeditions are listed below.
  • 2003 Titanic Expedition
  • 2003 National Geographic Britannic Expedition (leader)
  • 2005 Discovery Channel Titannic Expedition
  • 2003-2007 X5 Arctic Expedition leader
  • 2006 History Channel Britannic Expedition
