We are proud to say that Eurotek
2012, on the weekend of Oct 14th & 14th
held out all expectations and proved to be the the best
conference to date. All the leading speakers had returned
as well as more! The program of speakers was equal if not
better than before. Rebreather Science and Technology were
a huge focus at 2012 as well as fatality issues with CCR
users. 3D material had been shot specifically for the show
in both caves and on wrecks. The Eurotek team had been busy
behind the scenes working on every aspect of the Eurotek
2012 event, from ensuring speakers material
was current to ensuring the most up to date exhibitors of
technical diving equipment are there to display new advances.

The Conference is organized by Divers Leigh Bishop,
Roz Lunn, Mark Dixon, the show offers perhaps the largest gathering
of technical diving experts in the world. Saturday night’s
evening gala dinner black tie affair the only one of its kind
in the diving industry and often sees' what can be described
as a rag tag assembly of cave and wreck divers' sporting tuxedos
and ball gowns. Delegates attending Eurotek open seminars have
priceless opportunities to brainstorm and learn from each other
as well as the speakers and manufacturers in a very open and
casual manner.

The delegates and presenters stay at the Hilton
Garden hotel close to the Convention Hall, allowing for many
chances to meet in the bar, chat over breakfast and find a rare
moment for a bit of sleep. The presentations make Eurotek head
and shoulders above any other dive event in the Northern Hemisphere
and its sister event Oztek in Australia offer excellent speakers.
Presentations cover expeditions, wrecks, mines and caves around
the world as well as technical topics such as in water re compression,
modern deco advancements, rebreather diving, accident analysis
and panel discussions.
Eurotek is always an Outstanding
event and not one to be missed on the calendar!
NEWS The winner of the expedition to
Truk Lagoon for two courtesy of Pete Mesley
was Martin Mortlock.
This prize allowed the winner to be able to bring a mate with
them to Truk for 13 nights (12 days diving) doing some of the
best wreck diving the world has to offer! All they had to do
was buy a ticket to Eurotek 2012 which put them straight straight
into the draw! You just had to be there!
